I am pleased to welcome you to the 2023 - 2024 school year! I am looking forward to having your child as a student. Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and a lot of adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! Third grade is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities to celebrate. In order to have a fun year, my most important goal is to create a family of learners in my classroom. I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted, and integral part of our family of learners. In order to accomplish this, I have planned variety of activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal. It is my hope that you will support and encourage this vision at home. It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my student. I attempt to teach with a passion for my subjects so that my students develop a desire to become lifelong learners. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need! My family and I are originally from San Diego, CA. We moved to Arizona the summer of 2020. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Cal. State San Marcos and I earned my Masters degree in Elementary Education from American College of Education. I am currently back in school for my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction through American College of Education.
This is my 16th year teaching. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade in Utah, California, and Arizona.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Chris. We have three amazing boys. James is 9, Matthew is 6, and Andrew is 2. Chasing them around takes up most of my free time, but some hobbies I enjoy are traveling, crafting, spending time with my family, and relaxing :).
